Last month our FlightCharter.com.au team received an enquiry for a VIP guest who required specific travel arrangements surrounding confirmed engagements.

It was a delightful surprise when it was revealed closer to the time that our VIP guest was in fact His Royal Highness, Prince Edward who was visiting Australia for The Duke of Edinburgh Awards and the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

Prince Edward was travelling with the CEO of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards who was with him on his leg from Ballarat to Romsey for an official engagement pertaining to the awards.

Throughout his official visits, Prince Edward rewards those whom assist him and display excellent service with a token of appreciation.  During his recent visit to Australia,  the CEO of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Peter Kaye, presented 15 of these community awards on behalf of Prince Edward.

One of these was presented to our own FlightCharter.com.au representative on the tarmac of Ballarat Airport whilst another was presented to the pilot who flew the  EC135 Business Class Helicopter the Prince and his team travelled on.

We are truly honoured to have received this acknowledgement from His Royal Highness and look forward to servicing his travel requirements the next time he’s in the country.
