Flight Charter does for the heavy lifting for the GC2018

Flight Charter supports the GC2018 with a private jet

The 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games attracted international guests, royalty, celebrities, athletes and spectators from around the world. Flight Charter was there to help get The Lukin family where they needed to be via private jet.

With Prince Charles and Chris Hemsworth spotted at the swimming events and  Usain Bolt cheering on the athletics events, there was no shortage of star power both on and off the medal podiums.

Dean Lukin won the hearts of Australia as well as the country’s only Olympic gold medal in the Super-Heavyweight division for weightlifting in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games.

Based in the coastal town of Port Lincoln in South Australia, Dean was eager to be a part of the action and support the Australian weightlifting team at this year’s Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.  Dean travelled with his mother, son and niece direct from Adelaide to the Gold Coast on one of our CJ2 private jets to get in on the Commonwealth Games action.

Staying on the Gold Coast for approximately a week throughout the games, by choosing to travel via a private flight charter service, Dean and his family were not locked into the schedules and restrictions of domestic airlines and could have a flight service specifically tailored to their requirements and preferred type of travel.

Returning to Adelaide, the Lukin family travelled in a Learjet 45 which had the capacity to seat up to 8 passengers in addition to 2 crew.  Through the experience of our pilots and quality of carriers, all passengers and crew on board enjoyed a seamless flight on the way back to South Australia.
